We understand that one size does not fit all. We offer a choice of health insurance plans, so you can balance both cost and access to care that best meets your needs. Employees can choose from the following: Anthem Blue Cross HMO, PPO and Kaiser HMO.
Dental benefits are provided through Guardian with an annual maximum benefit of $1,500. All preventative care is free including x-rays and cleanings. We also offer a rollover account to apply unused maximums to future years.
Our vision care options cover eye exams, eyeglasses or contact lenses within or outside of the nation’s largest vision network, VSP.
Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
Basic Life and AD&D insurance are provided through Guardian at three (3) times base salary up to a maximum of $435,000.
We offer some of the richest Short-term Disability (STD) and Long-term Disability (LTD) benefits in the Valley in the unfortunate event you are unable to work due to injury or illness. Our STD plan covers 60% of salary up to a maximum of $2,500/week and our LTD plan covers 60% of salary up to a maximum of $10,000/month.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Our tax-free Flexible Spending Accounts for health care, dependent care and commuter transportation expenses help our employees offset their income tax liability.
Other Benefits
Tencent Retirement Plans
U.S. employees may contribute up to 100 percent of their compensation on a pre-tax or Roth after-tax basis, to Tencent's 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (subject to IRS annual limits). Tencent matches 50 percent of the first 10 percent of eligible compensation. Employees may choose from a diversified lineup of investment options, including date specific Target Retirement Funds. Investment advice and retirement seminars are offered to assist employees with investment decisions. Rollovers are accepted from previous employer qualified plans .
Paid Time Off
Paid vacation time increases based on years of service. Employees accrue 15 days per year in their first five (5) years, 20 days between five (5) and 10 years and, 25 days after more than 10 years. Time off also includes 10 paid holidays, (one) 1 floating holiday and sick time.
Employee Referrals
Who better to know the type of talent that will work well within the Tencent company culture than our current employees. We offer referral bonuses to eligible employees who refer a candidate that is hired.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP provides awareness, education, and confidential counseling assistance for a range of work/life issues, including stress management, relationship challenges, illness, and life-changing events (such as the birth of a child, bereavement, or a job change). Employees may also receive legal and financial consulting services through EAP provided by WorkLifeMatters.
Wellness Reimbursement
Employees may receive up to $50 per quarter or $200 annually to reimburse them for wellness costs such as exercise equipment, massage, gym memberships and other similar activities that are not covered under the company benefits plans.
Business Travel Medical Insurance (worldwide)
Tencent holds an international business travel program that covers medical expenses while traveling out of the country for the Company.
Tencent Team Building
